Monument Valley Mitten

Location: Arizona/Utah, Monument Valley Tribal Park

The mitten-shaped rock formations can be seen long before arriving at the Tribal Park. Yet it is a thrill each time I visit, as the landscape always seems more vast than the last time. Although I omitted them from the painting, a couple of small homes are nestled among the sparse trees of the landscape.
